I was at a tourny today and warrior was there and they had the new trainer called the riot. They were low top grey and blue suede with a computer motherboard pattern on them. [Help/Dye] Electrical Tape issues

I did my first dye yesterday( went fine) and used black electrical tape on the throat. When I took it off there where black marks left from the adhesive on the tape. Not really sure if thats what happens but I would like to know how the stains got there and how to not have that happen next...

Im not sure if I have the right prefix but has anybody used stick-doctor stringing stuff. I was thinking of getting "The Champion." Is there a review on this company. I have searched and nothing.
